I felt an immediate attachment to Grand Central in New York, engaged by the idea that it was a connection point for so many individuals, crossing paths regularly. I liked the fast pace, that things were constantly changing within the area as the crowds of people were continually turning over. I have always had an affinity for the stars and night sky so I was immediately attached to the mural of constellations and celestial influences dotting the ceiling.
The No 212.2, No. 212.3, No. 212.4 & No. 212.5 were designed around the structure of the windows in Grand Central Station. The symmetry, strong architectural presence and clean lines motivated the feel of these products in the 212 series. The black leather was used to reflect the color of the metal, while also providing a timeless palette. The slim wallet was designed for downsizing, holding a mix of up to 6 credit cards, ID forms and cash. The 2 passport wallets in this series accommodate a passport, additional ID form, credit cards and cash, allowing all travel essentials to be kept in one spot. The tote is versatile, as it operates as a carry on bag or an every day piece.
