I've been to Chicago a few times over the past couple years and each has been a different experience in various parts of the city. The 773 series was designed around different perspectives of the same situation and the value each can contribute to shaping your mindset. Each trip involved its own intention and produced different memories, all which provided many perspectives on the same place. One trip I had the opportunity to experience creative works of a few architects I highly respect. Another balanced revisiting both iconic places and the introduction of new spots, from museums to cocktail lounges. While some of the moments took place in the 312 region, the 773 offered the most unique view physically of the city and mentally among the company I was with.
The first three pieces in the 773 series come from the foundation of the tones among the architecture as well as a representation of the stability of the people I was with on each trip. The fourth piece in the series represents the different perspectives the 773 area offered, produced in eggplant as the vibrant color was reoccurring on that particular trip.
